Tasks and milestones can be assigned to accounts users that have accesses to the project.
Step 1: From your portfolio view, select project by clicking on the name.
Step 2: Select Tasks or Calender from Schedule drop-down menu.
Step 3: Add a new Task or a new Milestone to the project.
Tip: What’s the difference between tasks and milestones?
In essence, tasks may span over time. A task has a start date and end date and is marked as a percentage completed. You can group tasks and milestones within a parent task by simply dragging and dropping another task or milestone in to it. To keep thing from getting a little out of control you can have one level of grouping. Were a milestone, is checkbox-like, with a single date that is assigned to it. For simplicity and robustness only tasks can act as parents for grouping of tasks and milestones.
Alternatively: Edit a previously create Task or a new Milestone to assign or reassign.
Alternatively: You can also edit these from your Schedule screen. To see project Tasks as a schedule, click on the Schedule Mode button.
Step 4: Select from the Assigned to selection list of account names that have been assigned to this project and save.
Tip: If the assignee has not opted out of notifications they will receive an email when a Task or Milestone is assigned to them. They will also receive a notification when a task is due within 12 hours.
