Elijah Wood’s production company, The Woodshed, which he is equal partners in with Daniel Noah and Josh C. Walker, has announced two new horror projects in ‘A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night’ and ‘Toad Road’.

Toad Road will be the first picture presented by The Woodshed in partnership with Blackout Films and Random Bench. The picture was discovered by the company at the Nightmare City horror festival in Los Angeles. Elijah Wood said, “Programming the festival, we viewed scores of new horror films, but Toad Road leapt out of the pack with its devastating power.

We knew we had to do whatever we could to make sure this special film is seen.” The film is set to premier on October 23 and blends a documentary style with a narrative to depict the story of drug use in youth culture with a supernatural event woven around it. The pic is set in New jersey’s infamous Toad Road which according to urban legend is the site of a gate to hell!

The second project, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night is a vampire western shot in black and white and set in Iran. It will be the debut of writer and director Ana Lily Amirpour.
