In recent years it seems like musical based reality shows have led the pack for many networks including the likes of American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The X Factor. The latest in this line of tv talent offerings is NBC’s ‘The Voice.’

NBC have commissioned a fourth and fifth cycle of the program to air during Spring and Fall 2013. The Voice is currently averaging a 4.5 rating on Mondays and 4.3 on Tuesday. NBC recently announced a slight change to the judging panel as both Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green take the forthcoming Spring season to be replaced by Shakira and Usher. This is only a temporary change due to scheduling conflicts. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will appear as usual as will host Carson Daly.

“This pickup will assure the many dedicated ‘Voice’ fans that this innovative show will continue to bring some of the most talented new voices to the world’s attention though all of the next year,” said NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt.
