As fans eagerly await the released of the final installment of the hugely successful Twilight franchise, Lionsgate-Summit have announced plans to screen the previous 4 movies back to back at theatres nationwide the day before the worlwide release of ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ on November 16.

It has been indicated that some locations have secured the option to then show the final instalment at 10pm immediately after the marathon, while others will have to wait until midnight. The marathon screenings will feature additional Twilight featurettes in between the movies and all ticket holders will receive a commemorative lanyard.

Lionsgate have taken the idea directly from Warner Bros who used the same tactics when they screened the previous two Batman pictures directly before “The Dark Knight Rises”. AMC have also done similar events, hosting a Marvel marathon in the days leading up to the release of Disney’s “The Avengers”. The Twilight franchise has accumulated over $2.5 billion worldwide!
