Warner Bros have signed Graham King and Tim Headington to a one year first look deal. The deal puts GK Films back in business with the studio where King made hits such as Blood Diamond, The Departed, The Town and Dark Shadows.

Warner Bros are also the studio behind Ben Affleck’s Argo which was the standout premiere at TIFF. GK also co-financed Argo and Graham King was also executive producer.

The deal comes as something as a surprise as King had a 4 movie deal with Sony Pictures and it seemed as though it would be Sony with whom King would make Jersey Boys. However, he is bring Jersey Boys with him to Warner Bros after King and Sony failed to see eye to eye over budgeting to bring the smash stage shoe to the big screen.

Production of Jersey Boys is now scheduled to begin early 2013 for a Christmas release.
