In another TIFF deal, IFC Films have secured U.S. Distribution rights for Jamie Babbit Thriller ‘Breaking The Girls’ and look set to give the picture a limited theatrical release in America . Myriad Pictures are selling the film at Toronto International Film Festival this week.

The thriller, penned by Mark Distefano and Guinevere Turner, sees Agnes Bruckner paying a college student who gets involved with a manipulative young woman played by Madeline Zima, who encourages Brucker’s character to join her in murdering each other’s arch rivals. However, when Zima goes through with the supposedly untraceable crime, it is Brucker who finds herself frames for the murder.

Speaking about the project, Myriad Pictures CEO Kirk D;Amico said, “Myriad is thrilled to continue its long and positive relationship with IFC Films on this project,.
