Christian Bale will join Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner in the follow up to David O. Russell’s sequel to ‘The Silver Linings Playbook’. The film is as yet untitled and is currently being written by Russell alongside Eric Warren Singer, adapted from Singer’s original script. Russel has worked alongside ale before in The Fighter which also starred Amy Adams.

Charles Roven and Richard Suckle of Atlas Entertainment will produce the film along with Megan Ellison and Ted Schipper of Annapurna Pictures who are financing the project which is set for release in 2013. Distribution will be handled in the US by Columbia Pictures.

Speaking about the project, Charles Roven said, ‘David has put together an incredible ensemble of actors for what is going to be a powerful and emotional drama about one of the most memorable cast of characters in recent history.’ The picture sees Bale as a conman who along with his partner (Adams) is forced to work with an out of control fed to turn in other conmen. The script is based on a true story.
