ABC have had some spectacular success this fall, even though most networks are clamoring for ratings in the traditionally slow season. The network is currently in fourth place in the 18-49 demographic and is the only one of the top four networks not to feature sports, which many networks lean on. If the sports ratings are removed ABC are actually faring really very well indeed!

ABC has five of this fall’s top 15 programs in the 18-49 market living in households earning in excess of $100,000 according to figures from Nielsen’s Audience Demographic Data. CBS and NBC have four each and Fox has the remaining two.

ABC hold the top spot with Modern Family which is by far the most popular in this category while Grey’s Anatomy holds third place. The other ABC shows featured in the top 15 are Revenge, Nashville and Once Upon A Time.

It seems like ABC are doing really well among upscale audiences at present, showing that the network may well be diversifying their key target market.
